In a room where the lights are low and everything gleams softly—polished wood, quiet kompa, the clink of crystal—there’s a kind of drink that doesn’t announce itself. It arrives. The Brandy Alexander is that sort of indulgence: poised, velvet-smooth, and dressed in deep cacao and warm spice.
Lakai is the signature here, threading its own character through the classic structure. Cognac brings an elegant glow—rich, round, gently oaked—while dark cacao liqueur turns the whole sip into something satin-rich and quietly decadent. Half and half soften the edges into a creamy hush, and chocolate bitters add a final tailoring stitch: refinement, not sweetness. Then, at the end, the grated nutmeg—fragrant and fleeting—like perfume on a cuff.

Ingredients:  

• 1.25 oz Lakai 
• 1.5 oz Cognac 
• 0.5 oz Dark Cacao Liqueur 
• 0.75 oz half and half 
• 3 dashes chocolate bitters 

Method:  

• Shake with ice and strain into glass. 

Glass:   

• Sour 

Garnish:  

• Grated nutmeg
